Key Areas of Responsibility

  • To carry our full lifecycle system implementations across a few key industries.
    • This will encompass analysis, design, implementation, training, and support.
  • Map customers’ information flow between systems and or processes, in order to identify where manual intervention takes place. Including where there is duplication of data capture or work efforts. The focus is on re-engineering operational processes:
    • Functional Assessments:
      • Through workshops with business compile context diagrams & functional diagrams,
      • Establish business requirements and issues.
    • Determine ‘As-Is’ Process Documentation:
      • Obtain standard operating procedures and document processes,
      • Conduct process walk-throughs,
      • Assess data and document flows,
    • Determine best practice ‘To-Be’ Processes.
  • Consultation with customers and interaction with prospective customers.  This can include: assessments, workshops, discussions, training etc.
  • Once projects have been delivered, it is expected to provide ongoing services to the customer where we will not only support but align ourselves with the customers’ strategic objectives.

Ideal candidate

The role will include carrying out full lifecycle ERP implementations and any other complementary business solutions. Primary application focus will be financials.

This will encompass:

  • Analysis, design, implementation, training and support.
  • Map customers’ information flow between systems and or processes. Identifying bottlenecks, reducing manual data intervention, avoiding unnecessary duplication of data capture and or work effort etc.
  • The focus is on re-engineering both practical and efficient operational processes, that can be underpinned by technology.

Experience

The role is to oversee all the technical elements of the business during an on-premise or cloud-based deployment. This person is also responsible for designing and managing our cloud ERP infrastructure including any ERP software implementation and performance tuning.

It would be advantageous to have experience in other LOB applications such as ecommerce and document automation, specifically solution design, configuration and deployment.

This role will encompass:

• Design and implement the ERP technical architecture

• Key responsibility is to: Install, configure, maintain, backup, restore and performance tune Microsoft SQL Server environment (2014, 2016, 2017, 2019)

• Internet Information Server (IIS)

• Produce scripts, stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server

• Data take-on and migration of existing customer data

• Assist with design and implementation of Microsoft Reporting Services

• Analysis, design, implementation, training and support of some technical ERP modules

• Provide technical support to internal consultants and or customers

• Manage Office 365 and Azure environment

The skills required are:

  • Project administration, reconciliation and reporting on KPI’s,

We are seeking a detail-oriented project manager who knows how to develop and execute a plan whilst directing and monitoring your projects, ultimately leading our team to success. You will ensure adherence to set timelines and budgets and frequently report on progress.   • Facilitate the development of project plans and manage them from inception to completion
  • Monitor all moving parts of the project, keeping them synchronised and moving forward

Meet our Directors

Stuart Scanlon

Managing Director

Stuart began his career in Government, working as a member of Deputy President Mbeki’s close protection detail. He later continued his studies and become a passionate South African entrepreneur. The past 25 years have seen him build many strategic relationships with customers, business partners and his staff.

Often the first person to get his hands dirty and understand what is happening on the ground, Stuart is always looking for opportunities for improvement – for epic ERP and its customers. His accomplishments have not gone unrewarded: he has twice achieved top international accolades from Epicor Software Corporation for recording the highest growth across Europe Middle East & Africa regions.

Stuart holds a graduate qualification from the Institute of Marketing Management in South Africa.

Pieter Lotz 

Solutions Director

Pieter began his career as a metallurgist but very quickly transitioned into the technology sector.
After having successfully implemented hundreds of Microsoft solutions, across a number of different industries, Pieter has used his sharp business acumen to help many businesses become more successful and competitive.

He has sat at many a boardroom table, helping C-Level executives expand on their businesses vision. Fondly known for his talents at getting the most from Microsoft Excel, he is never afraid to get his hands stuck into the detail of ERP implementations.

Pieter is an avid guitarist and squash player. He holds a B. Eng. Chemical (Metallurgical) from the University of Stellenbosch.

Dr Danéel van Eck

Strategy Director

At age 13, Danéel wrote his first commercial software application that was distributed on thousands of PCs. By 16 the software products he had developed for technical configuration of telecommunication systems had gone fully commercial.

Danéel built several companies based on custom software development while also providing consulting services to many businesses on their IT and business strategies.

His research for his PhD covered the conditions under which intuitive management decisions can be effective in environments of varying levels of complexity. Danéel is also a qualified commercial helicopter pilot and instructor and in his spare time teaches new pilots to fly.

He holds several qualifications: BSc Computer Science (Wits), MBA Strategic Management (TVU London), PhD in Business (GIBS).
